Lounger hover chair floats in the air using magnets

The Britain’s biggest gadget show, Stuff Live has showcased an unusual hover chair called Lounger, which is able to float in the air.

The chair is claimed inspired by “Star Wars”. It uses the powerful repulsive magnetic forces to float in the air. While you lie on this chair, close your eyes, it feels like you’re floating on a cloud. Unfortunately, the Lounger chair carries a price tag of $9,500, meaning that you must be rich enough to own this chair, so you get to feel the sensation of floating on a cloud.

The Stuff Live gadget show seems to be stuffed with lots of expensive gadgets. The hover chair is considered cheap compared to another star attraction - a pair of limited edition curvy metal loudspeakers that costs 70,000 pounds or USD $113,000. At this show, you’ll have to temporarily forget the financial worries that have been bothering you due to the recent economy crisis.

Japanese iPhone 3G gets 1Seg TV tuner and a second battery

In Japan, 1Seg TV is popular which lets Japanese watch mobile TV on their mobile devices. And many Japanese mobile phones come with built-in 1Seg TV tuner excepts the iPhone.

The luxury cellphone maker Mobiado has unveiled four luxury cellphones. These few handsets are made of expensive materials such as maple wood, crystal, gold and titanium etc.

The first two models in the four new models are named Professional 105 EM White and Professional 105 EM Red, which belong to the company’s Professional 105 EM Special Edition series. These two handsets are made from the finest materials such as titanium, maple burl wood, sapphire crystal and 24K gold. Krave ZN4 - Motorola’s first full touchscreen phone

Krave ZN4 is the first full touchscreen cellphone from Motorola, that is to be launched through major US carriers such as Verizon.

The Motorola Krave ZN4 supports the Verizon 3G services including TV and music. Verizon also includes a couple of other great services such as mobile email, GPS, speaker independent voice dialing and also the visual voicemail.

This phone has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack which allows users to use any headphones to listen to music and enjoy the TV. Alltel Wireless launches LG Rhythm music phone

LG Rhythm is the latest music phone that has been launched by Alltel Wireless. The phone is a slider which is pretty similar to other music phones, having a scroll wheel on the front for scrolling the music list.

The phone shall be made focusing solely for music as it has a relatively poor camera that has a resolution of 1.3 megapixels only. This is seldom seen on those latest mobile phones released these days. For the music support, this phone plays MP3 and equipped with FM transmitter. Apart from music, you also get GPS, voice dialing, and a microSD card slot for slotMusic.

The phone also supports stereo Bluetooth which allows you to beam music to it wirelessly. Sharp launches first LCD TV with built-in Blu-ray recorder

Mitsubishi announces world’s first laser-based TV - LaserVue

Today, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc has announced the world’s first laser-based TV, which is called LaserVue. It was last year that we’d reported to you that Mitsubishi to unveil their long-due laser TV at the CES 2008.

And now this LaserVue TV 65″ model is available at the selected retailers in the United States for a price tag of $6,999. The Laser TV presents the amazing breadth and depth of color to the users, which is the most energy-efficient large-format, high-def TV available in the market today.

The Mistubishi LaserVue is also deemed to provide two times the color of many of today’s HDTVs and some more it uses exponentially less energy than the plasma and LCD TVs. It consumes only about one third of the power of today’s LCD TVs and one forth of plasma TVs. Olympus makes its lenses Micro-Four-Thirds compatible, usable by Panasonic DMC-G1

The Micro Four Thirds technology allows digital cameras to be kept at compact size without losing the ability of changing lenses, similar to the DSLRs. This Micro Four Thirds technology is shared by Olympus and Panasonic.

Olympus has announced that they have firmware updates for their lenses, making them “Micro Four Thirds” compatible, which allows them to be used by the Panasonic DMC-G1. The updated lenses from Olympus are the 35mm F3.5 Macro, 25mm F2.8 pancake, 35-100mm F4.0-5.6 and 40-150mm F4.0-5.6.

After the you’ve downloaded and updated the firmware of the mentioned Olympus lenses, they will become compatible with the Panasonic DMC-G1. According to Dpreview, the 25mm pancake and 40-150mm lenses are able to autofocus, whereas they’re still unclear if the 35mm Macro and 35-100mm lenses are able to autofocus. Panasonic owners can click here to download the new firmwares to update their Olympus lenses that are in the list.

RC transformer aka RCRC transforming robot

China to get their own version of Android phone, made by Lenovo

T-Mobile HTC G1 is internationally recognized as the world’s first Google Android-powered handset. But China wants to be side-tracked from the rest of the world, announcing their own version of Android handset.

The China’s main mobile provider, China Mobile is going to roll out their own Android handset and the device will be manufactured by world’s fourth largest PC manufacturer, Lenovo. And the launching date is planned in the first quarter (between February and March) of 2009.

China has been well known with their black market which they’re famous of cloning or unlocking branded cellphones. It’s no surprise that the original T-Mobile G1 is being sold in China for a price as much as $550.

And some more the G1 handset sold in the Chinese black market will cost another $73 for unlocking it in order to be usable with the Chinese mobile operator. Making an unofficially unlocked Android G1 to cost $620+ in China. Due to this fact, China Mobile is to take a step ahead to fulfill the demands in the market, rolling out their own Android cellphone next year.
