LaCie 5big Network Storage Array

The designers of the LaCie 5big network storage array must have paid tribute to HAL 9000 with its design, but good thing it won't be self-aware and attempt to end your life, but will instead try to preserve your precious data within. The 5big comes with five hot-swappable Serial ATA drive bays, which means you are able to hit a whopping 7.5TB of information when they are all filled to the maximum. Configuration options include RAID 5, RAID 5+Spare, RAID 6, RAID 10 and RAID 0. There is also the option to hook up additional external drives via USB 2.0 or SATA ports. Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux systems, the 2.5TB, 5TB and 7.5TB models will retail for $899, $1,399 and $1,899.
